Saskatoon Criminal Defence
Matthew Deshaye is a full service criminal Defence lawyer in the Province of Saskatchewan. Mr. Deshaye was born and raised in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and completed his post-secondary education at the University of Saskatchewan and Mount Royal College in Calgary prior to obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Manitoba.
Throughout his post-secondary education Mr. Deshaye was recognized for his high scholastic achievement. He was named to both the Dean’s and President’s list at Mount Royal College for his high grade-point average and won the Irvin Goldman Prize in Criminal Law at the University of Manitoba, which recognized him as the top student in Criminal Law courses.
Since graduating from law school Mr. Deshaye has practiced exclusively in the area of criminal law with the firm of Dunn and Associates. The firm of Dunn and Associates was founded in 1978 and has long been considered a top tier criminal defence firm. Dunn and Associates has offices located in both Saskatoon and Calgary and Mr. Deshaye is member of both the Law Society of Saskatchewan (pending) and the Law Society of Alberta.
Mr. Deshaye has acted as counsel in a broad range of criminal matters, including: murder, manslaughter, violent crimes, sexual offences, drug trafficking, weapons charges, impaired driving charges and impaired driving causing death charges to name a few.
Mr. Deshaye brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table in addition to a strong work ethic and a unique and effective approach to advocacy.
